IQING5 - Informal Quantum Information Gathering

11 Apr 2007 - 14 Apr 2007
Institute for Theoretical Physics, Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, Innsbruck, Austria

This workshop, which has now reached its fifth edition, aims at bringing PhD, Diploma/MSc students, and postdocs together in an informal environment for a discussion on the fields of theoretical and experimental quantum information science.

The first aim of the workshop is of course to disseminate new results obtained in the field. This will be done primarily via talks and posters, and each of the participants will be encouraged to offer his/her contribution. The secondary goal is to bring together many young people who, while working in the same field, are probably not acquainted with one another. This workshop (like those that have preceded it) offers a unique opportunity for new collaborations and open discussion. During the workshop, there will be time dedicated to informal discussion and enough free time to facilitate such a scientific discourse.

Organizers:

Jan Benhelm, Michael Bremner, Andreas Griessner, Otfried Guehne, Caterina Mora, and Peter Rabl
